Herman Millar office chairs
« on: November 12, 2011, 03:52:38 PM »
As many of you are people of expensive taste, I was wondering if anyone had tried a Herman Millar office chair or another similarly priced office chair?

Bit out off my budget range but was wondering if they live up to the hype, cheers!

The companies I've worked for over the last decade or so have been kind enough to provide us with Aeron chairs. I have found that my back problems cleared up completely after getting one and given that I sit at a workstation a lot I am very thankful and, were I to work from home, I would save up and get one for myself. My two cents.

I was working from home for about a year and when my office chair died I managed to talk work into buying me a Herman Miller Mirra chair.  It's a bit cheaper than the Aeron and doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but it's a very nice chair.  Especially if you've had back problems in the past (like me).

Ended up ordering from this place: http://www.back2.co.uk/

I read somewhere (on the internet, so it must be true) that Mirra was a "more modern design" and was "better" than the flagship Aeron

I've just been taken off my feet at the idea of this being in excess of four-hundred bangers.

I'll stick with my Ikea £40 rascal. That I sit in 8+ hours most days. Comfortably.

EDIT: And now I've found the £500+ stools. People are mental.
