I had said a couple months back that i would post an example of the Rebel Yell, as my contribution to this outstanding user community.

Im not posting this for feedback, comments on how/what i play, or any sort of validation - simply to show what the Rebel Yell sounds like, in my own application, which happens to resemble black metal.

I pulled this straight out of a mix session - it's just 2 raw tracks of close mic'ed guitar amps.  Signal chain went -

My tube distortion preamp-----> split to a Mesa Boogie Mark III AND a 70's Sunn Model T---->mics----->pre's---->tape.  I pulled this clip to show what kind of articulation comes through the pickup when playing wide, steady chords, from middle low to high strings.  Hope this helps with someone looking for an organic, wide range sound, but with the mids emphasized ever so slightly - to have those "middle" strings come through.

this makes me so glad!

The riffs are awesome :D you should check out a band called Liturgy :)

Some drums over this, and a over-reverbed vocals and i would be willing to pay cash for it

Ha! thanks for listening and for your positive affirmations.  This is just a solo'ed guitar from a session, so yes, there's a whole song there in the process of being mixed.

Will be sure to let you know once it's finished and shoot you an MP3 and/or ordering information.

Is coming out on a 7" vinyl, self-titled Alraune.

And yes, Liturgy is fantastic.  They're coming to my town soon, i can't wait.  Great bunch of dudes.

Dude, that is one serious tone! The riff is pretty damn awesome, too. If you still have any 7" available I would love to purchase one.
How are you finding the Model T? Do you find the "magic" in the preamp or poweramp?
