Just wondering which BKP pups are closest to the characteristics of the stock pups in my usa made 2005 strat?

I don't have any stock pickups to hand, but from what I remember they're alnico V, with DC resistance about 5.9k and 6.5ish on the bridge. Any of the BKP vintage range (with the exception of Apaches, as they're alnico 3) are fairly close in terms of spec.

The biggest difference is in the way BKPs are made, though - handwound as opposed to machine wound, even pickups with exactly the same measured specs will sound different because of the differences in manufacturing methods. FWIW I've swapped out both my strats with BKPs (one 59 set, one 63) and they're both fantastic, with noticeable improvements in dynamics and warmth.

I swapped the stockpickups in my American Series HSS-strat for a VHII and two Mother's Milk. I took out the S1-switch and -wiring bec everything sounded a bit muffled. The MM's are really good for the early sixties Frusciante-tones. They're quite woody and glassy. Genuine strat-sounds.
If you like a bit more bass and grit, look at the Irish Tours. I have them in an other strat and they are good allrounders and handle drive very well. If you roll the vol.knob a tad back, you get in MM-terrority. Both are big improvements compared to stock F-pickups in terms of clariy, depth, articulation and dynamics. Scatterwound pickups are sensitive for height, so you should fiddle a bit to find the sweet spots.
Order with a baseplate if you want a bit more meat from the bridge-singlecoil.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
