Now to be honest I'm not a big fan of today's metal stuff (apart from Killswitch Engage - love them) but I managed to come up with what is IMO a useable tone with the Line 6 Toneport. For some reason it doesn't sound quite as good recorded as it did through my headphones, but I know you're supposed to used different techniques when recording with lots of distortion. Anyway, here it is. It's quite a bright tone but shows the clarity of the Nailbomb. The playing isn't great but I don't really play metal :).

WFD i just wanted to clear a few things up. I really think you need to see what the tones people are using. You say that alot of my clips dont have enough bass ( this is a personal preference, i believe bass frequencies should be covered by the bass ). If you can find someone who has a POD XT then you will be able to look at my settings. This will also will give you the opportunity to write one of your own patches and ill record a track using it.

edit: doesnt seem i can upload them here, try emailing me or pming me.

Im not upset i just think that you are getting the wrong idea of the pickup purely on other peoples tastes. I want to try and give you the best idea of the pickups, so when i get a chance ill throw a quick demo together using the 5150 patch.

Just to clarify you want the same eq setting that it has, and same cab etc as the one which is preset? If so ill get on it straight away.

Hails Lepper ..
no i guess iīm not(but i could be wrong).. the reason i always asks for a second clip, is that "somebody personal eq settings on "THAT" clip isnīt close to the ones i use, so, i canīt judge if it will fill my needs or not.. so, thats the reason that i say things like, "PLease, a little bit more distortion, PLease a little more output, Please more Bass, less treble, or whatever ...
do you got it? Q:)
iīm not upset too donīt worry i didnīt get upset that easy.. Unless someone calls me POSER. hahaahahahahahah

the 5150 presets are preseted with  all knobs on 0? or 5?
well, i use my 5150 settings this way.. see if it matches the pod ones.
lead channel - pre gain on 5, post gain on 4. bass on 4, middles on 4, highs on 6. ressonance on 3. presence on 5.
thats it.
Q:)
hails and thankīs again.

harmonic at the end ruled!

good tone, the toneport takes alot of tweaking but you can get some decent stuff out of it :)
