HELP REGARDING WHAT SINGLE COIL NECK PICKUP
« on: February 06, 2012, 10:43:59 AM »
What's a good single coil neck pickup for a Hard Ash top, Pine body Telecaster?
I might use a Miracle Man with a split coil configuration for the bridge position.

I want to avoid problems like volume loss when switching to the neck pickup since the Miracle Man has a high output.

I might still opt for a different BKP for the bridge position though.

I'll be playing from post-rock to thrash metal, death and doom metal.

Thank you for the help!

Do you want to balance the neck single coil with the Miracle Man as full humbucker or split?

If balance is required with the full humbucker, Sinner or Trilogy Suite. If balance is required with the split humbucker, Irish Tour could work, too.

Cheers Stephan

I second this.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

Thanks for the recommendations!  I really like the Trilogy Suite so far.
Would the Irish Tour have a huge cut on the volume when I use it with the Miracle Man?

Can other neck pickups from different brands sound good with the Miracle Man too?

The Sinner will keep up best with the MM.

I would guess Trilogy's a good choice.  A Sinner in the neck is probably a bit much.

BKP use Trilogies in their "standard" Miracle Man HSS set.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM
