I haven't posted here in a good while, read a bit on and off. But since my last popper post ive got a good few guitars, and started to come back to BKP after flirtations ill say.
Cut to the chase, im after a bridge pickup for my PRS SE Mushok Baritone. I have tried EMGs in it but the new solderless thing keeps shorting somewhere, passives aren't shorting out weirdly enough. I have a Miracle man in my Les Paul and that is my bag, love it to bits, and a Nailbomb in my ESP LTD Eclipse Deluxe that i like but am not totally happy with it (Posibly changing it to a Miracle man soon) i also have a Painkiller in mothballs so to speak.
Im after a pickup that is sorta like a EMG 85 in a sort of way, but in the searches ive done people say a Black Dog. Im not sure as i want a pickup that is versitile as i can go from one end of the music spectrum to another quickly. Im not sure if i should go hot or for a more classic output but not vintage output.
If its any help i do play mainly metal, need a good clean sound, even if it isn't as great as a Burstbucker #2, 59 or Jazz and the 36th Anniversary in the neck of my Eclipse it has to be useable. Also i use a Maxon OD808 and Keeley SD-1 as mu boosts and a Blackstar HT-1R head and a Egnater Tweaker 15W head into a Bogner 1X12 cab. I plan on a Mini Recto sometime as well.
I know that BKP can custom build something like maybes a Alnico II or IV Miracle Man that may be slightly less powerful than a stock one, or a Ceramic Black Dog.
Thanks in advance.
