Wiring Diagram Needed: Aftermath 7's (Calibrated Set)
« on: May 15, 2012, 01:57:19 AM »
I had a calibrated set of Aftermath 7's installed recently, and I just want to double-check the tech's work. Unless I completely missed it, there doesn't seem to be a BKP wiring diagram available for this specific configuration (which is what the tech did):

2 humbuckers
1 vol
1 tone (with push/pull coil tap for all 3 positions)
3 way switch

Another thing I'd like to check is whether they're oriented properly. I have the all-bolt Aftermaths, so it's not as obvious what direction each pickup should be in. However, they're uncovered, so there are some defining characteristics (little holes next to the pole pieces) that I might use to make a determination.

Yes, I'm being a little paranoid.

The soldering all looks great, and this tech definitely is no amateur, but I got the impression that he'd not seen many BKP's in his time. They sound pretty damn good, and there's very little hum, but I just want to ensure I'm getting the best possible tone. I've heard of people flipping one pup around and getting slightly better sound.

Thanks in advance.

Oops... disregard. There actually IS a wiring diagram for this configuration, I just missed it in the list.
