Thanks Tekbow.  "sigh"  i really must learn to resist things better.  i'll be able to tell you all sometime next week how that pedal sounds :)

should go nicely with my mid '70's Les Paul and Marshall

You know i never considered people would take up experimenting beyond vox/crybaby so er.. immediately

You're going to love that wah, like i said, be careful of getting the back off as i see it has no battery door. there must be an easy way of doing it though. if the range isn't to you liking, the pots are easily adjusted as they don't have the same rack and pinion arrangement the most wahs do.

Yeah, along with PhillyQ and Twinfan i think i have some kind of mental illness, although Dave seems to be manfully fighting against his at the moment.  that being said, it had grown to gargantuan proportions!  :)

i look forward to trying it.  i've looked at old wahs before, but never took the plunge.  and i've always been slightly dissatisfied with the crybaby type ones.  i like them, but get sick of them.  fingers crossed this'll be a good fit for me, and enough of a change

word of warning, you have to spend a little time with the pedal. will sound weird to say, but the things you did with your foot on V/CB type will not give the same results, you have to relearn how to use it. the transition point is faster on these, the throw is much longer, but when you get the hang of that, you can acccent things just as well as with a V/CB, and of chorus, it's funky town too.

EDIT: also, if you don't like it, like i say that was a good enough price for one, it shouldn't be too hard to get your money back on it

after reading all that, have you not heard of clive mc-coy in america? he is the wah guru

That's Clyde McCoy, and he's been dead for many years.  I don't think he had anything to do with making wah pedals, he was a musician but Vox used his name on their pedals as he inspired the sound they created.

Which is about the only useful thing I can say here, I'm afraid.

(If there is a wah guru called Clive McCoy, I apologise!)
thanks for your sarcastic comments!  :wallbash: :wallbash:

Wilsons take on the parapedal. Wonder does it react the same way as the chicago iron if placed after the OD/Distortion.. the envelope filter seems to be less subtle on this, but in a good way

they also do a repro of the WH10 (frusciante's wah), but ibanez are doing a reissue and i couldn't hear a massive difference between the RI and original on the youtube vids. would have to have one beside the other and actually be there
