that's what I have in my '78 greco les paul standard (maple neck)
the neck cold sweat has pretty much the same specs of the black dog, but it's hotter and apparently brighter than the neck black dog, and about as hot as a bridge riff raff
in terms of output, they pair well, as the bridge dog is hotter and more compressed, but I didn't enjoy them together that much
maybe I got too used to the mule, so the cold sweat now feels a bit too aggressive for me (it was my favorite neck model a while ago)
I'd pick something a little warmer to go with the dog
I like the cold sweat better when paired with contemporary models
also love the neck cold sweat in the bridge position... it's a lot like the riff raff, but it's middier and modern sounding
Riff Raff, Mules, Black Dog, VHII's, Cold Sweat

People, i am happy with the Black Dog bridge and Riff Raff neck in my Jap Tokai Les Paul Standard. Not exactly a match, but i knew that before hand, as the Riff Raff neck has a bit less overdrive gain and is more single coil type than the mid rich BD bridge.
BKP: Abraxas - Les Paul
Holy Diver - Charvel
Mule - Les Paul
Rebel Yell - Les Paul
VHII - PRS CU22
Emerald - Les Paul
Warpig - Caparison Horus

Thanks for the info, maybe a calibrated Black Dog set?
