Is Nantucket neck a good match for MQ bridge?
« on: August 29, 2012, 04:17:19 PM »
I've got a guitar with a bridge humbucker and neck p90 (Schecter Tempest semi-hollow.) In looking for replacement pickups I'm thinking of going all p90, so just trying to decide which standard size p90 would be the best match for the MQ bridge. The Nantucket looks to be the closest in resistance, but I'm wondering if there are other factors that I should also take into account.

The difference that I noticed first was the A4 magnet in the MQ neck, as opposed to the A5 in the Nantucket.

Just in case anyone's interested, I emailed BKP with this question and got a reply from Tim that the Nantucket 90 neck is a good match for the MQ bridge, or alternatively the Blue Note neck for a sweeter tone.

Looking at the tonecharts that makes sense.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
