Anyone know where I can get a custom rack/pedalboard case built?
« on: September 01, 2012, 06:49:16 PM »
I'm getting a bit sick of cables knocking my pedal settings and Velcro peeling off my amp switcher in my 4u SKB rack case

I fancy one of the fancy jobs the pros have, with a slide out drawer with all 5 pedals on all neatly cabled up and tidy.  I may only need a drawer unit adding to my current case and then a bunch of new custom length cables to wire it all up.  Something like this maybe?

Is there a company out there who I can drop all my stuff with and they'll build it for me?  I haven't really got the time to cut a whole bunch of cables and solder all the jacks on myself at the moment, plus I'm bound to screw it up...

unless you use your pedals in a super complex manor i would have thought any competent tech could do it? If you drop off your case and pedals like you say.
If you don't want to solder you could try getting a slide out shelf and some of those george L's solder less cables. Never used em myself but they seem simple enough... though personally I think i prefer soldered leads.

Cheers - I forgot about George Ls!  Might be worth a look...
