santana(ish) track
« on: November 18, 2012, 03:14:53 AM »
http://soundcloud.com/bentyreman/relatively-calm

this is a track I composed when I was 19 called 'Relatively Calm'

recorded in the cutting rooms studio, Manchester 2004.

this was before I even got bare knuckle pick-ups hence why it's in this part of the forum.

I used a Marshall TSL60 and JJ Retro guitar with stock pickups, no fx pedals, just a DI and amp sound.

hope you enjoy it,

regards,

Ben.

Sounds pretty good! I'm not a big fan of the TSL but this has me thinking differently!

same here usually, I only had it around 6 months or so and have gone through many amps since, thanks for listening though.

I actually like this better then most Santana-stuff. Nice fusion-tone where Marshall-flavour still shines through.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
