2 HUM / 1vol / 1 tone soldering question
« on: February 05, 2013, 11:11:17 AM »
Hello,

I'm the proud new owner of a VHII calibrated set :)

looking for the wiring schema i found this one : https://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/main/downloads/schematics/general/humbuckers/2_hum__1vol__1tone__3way.pdf that fits my needs.

But I can see that green/white wire are set together, but there are not solder to the ground ?

It's not like my current schema on my guitar. I'm a bit confused... so did I get it right ?

thanks :)

That is the correct wiring for standard humbucking operation, i.e. both coils are in series. If you solder the white/green to ground, you cut off one coil and have single coil operation.

Cheers Stephan
