Frusciante's telecaster tone
« on: February 22, 2014, 01:56:19 PM »
Hi guys.

My Classic 50s tele has an ash body and an alder body. I want a Frusciante tone from it. He basically used teles mostly when he needed a bridge pickup for a punchier tone than his strats, and the neck tone is not a milion miles away from a strat tone.

Neck tone:

Bridge tone:

I'm pretty set on a Flat 52 neck pickup, but may take other suggestions. As for the bridge pickup, Flat 52 too? The ending from the last video (single notes from the bridge pickup, overdriven) sounds far from shrill. Looking forward to your opinions.

Cheers

Good choice. It's reallly a nice versatile set. The neckpickup sounds a bit like a stratneckpickup.
