Looking for a articulate and open neck PU for my 57RI Custom Shop Gibson...

The guitar is very "woody" sounding and very muddy on the neck...

So I'm looking for a very very open sounding Neck-PU...

Which PU is more "open" sounding?!? The Riff Raff or the Emerald?!?

Never played either but the Holydiver neck is a very open sounding neck pickup, so is the Black Dog. These are the two most open BKP neck pickups I played.

Played them neither too, but I heard Hunter's clips: PRS with RiffRaffs, great, sometimes crystaline tones from the neckpickup.

I've had them in the same guitar, the riff raff is dryer, somewhat middier and rawer. The emerald's are smother, more scooped and fatter. I'd say riff raff's the woodier sounding pickup.
