It sure is! Just got a orange 4x12 with v30 to replace my or412 with g12t-75 but I haven't managed to sell it yet, so I thought 'why not use em' all!'.

Yeah i probably look the opposite of metal :(

Is that the stereo cabinet they sell?

If it makes you feel better I updated my profile photo to an image of me in London last year in a location that will be familiar to all Napalm Death fans!  I look a bit like a grindcore version of Santa Claus :D  At least with that beard I qualify as 'old school'  :P

We Australians all expect Swedish metal dudes to look like Rogga from Paganizer and lounge around at home on benefits writing riffs all day ;)

Roboten both you and Guitar IV are such clean-cut looking chaps!

If I actually could grow a beard I would do so, unfortunately when I try I rather look like I've been eating fish and the bones are sticking out of my face  :?

Which reminds me of this:

The Beards - Why Having a Beard is Better Than Having a Woman - Live

I couldn't grow much of a beard 25 years ago.  I'm 46 now ...

It's Grinda Claus! You were real all along! I knew my mother was lying!

Regarding the cab it's just an or412 from the early 90's. And regarding swedish metal musicians it seems the heavier the music gets the more normal looking people seem to be. Which means we gotta be pretty frickin heavy! Though our drummer does look the part, what with his long hair and a torso full of black sabbath tattoos.

Stereotypes are pretty funny, aren't they? I run around dressed like a rich douchebag looking perfectly polite and all (except when I'm dressed all black with bandshirts and headbanging like a mofo at metal shows), studying law and still I enjoy the shocked expressions of people when I show them my music or tell em I'm into metal.

And then there is the huge bunch of metalheads that can't understand how I can enjoy and play blues and rock and listen to Drum and Bass and Electronic :P

Screw em haters music is a beautiful language everyone understands and if the song is good it doesn't matter what genre it is. Wether you're looking like the greatest bad ass metal head with a huge beard and long hair or like a polite and innocent law abiding citizen, people are unique and there's so much depth and beauty in life I don't see why one shouldn't enjoy and learn as much as one can. :)

Sorry for getting off topic but I tend to be a philosopher when I'm drunk, which in fact is the case right now xD

Cheers

Well I run around in grindcore and punk shirts and beanies with tattoos and whatnot and people are shocked when they find out I have a PhD.  I've also given lectures and conference papers like that on a regular basis, to the point that when I go to certain conferences people are disappointed if I 'dress up' ... If I go to a conference where people don't know me or I have to go to an interview I'll dress nice and make sure my tattoos are covered and even have my earrings taken out (this is a major operation, but the local piercing place removed them for me free of charge the last time I did it and wished me luck).

In the early '90s when I wore death metal shirts and ten-hole docs with long hair and a beard to Flinders University every day (a time when such clothes were genuinely shocking) all the preppy students with the nice toffy accents were shocked that this scruffy oik who they thought looked like a serial killer was not only a nice guy but also receiving commendations and medals for his studies.

So it works both ways!  Either way the stupid people are the ones with the prejudices.

I'm not going to claim that it's helped my career though.

Exactly, it goes in both directions. Unfortunately there will always be stupid and narrow minded people with prejudices
