In my experience the brightness of a pickup can be toned down with a pot or EQ, whereas you can't add clarity and brightness to a pickup.  It's also almost impossible to get rid of the dreaded mid-range honk.

The only mid range honk i have ever noticed was in my old PRS CU24 with stock pickups.
I like a bit of mids, but not the honky kind, the Abraxas is one of my favs, so i might give the scooped BKP a miss.

Probably the HD is the way to go even thoug i have a HD loaded Charvel.
BKP: Abraxas - Les Paul
Holy Diver - Charvel
Mule - Les Paul
Rebel Yell - Les Paul
VHII - PRS CU22
Emerald - Les Paul
Warpig - Caparison Horus

I like mids too, hence I use a Holydiver and Crawler at the moment and I always have the mids turned up on my amp too. I doubt you'd have a problem with the Miracle Man as it really isn't all that scooped. You lose a bit of upper mids and mid mids from the Holydiver and gain a few more lower mids but that's it. I really miss my Miracle Man.
BKP owned:

Bridge - Emerald; Cold Sweat; Crawler; A-Bomb; Holydiver; Miracle Man; Sinner; Trilogy Suite

Neck - Emerald; Cold Sweat; Crawler; Holydiver; Sinner; Trilogy Suite

What guitar was the Miracle Man in?

I originally had it in a Jackson Soloist and once I sold that guitar, I tried it very briefly in a PRS SE Custom 24 where it also sounded really good. I see no reason why it wouldn't work in a Jem just as I know the Holydiver will work. For what it's worth, I also had the Holydiver in my Jackson before the Miracle Man (preferred the Miracle Man, though both were good) and I currently have the Holydiver in my PRS. I'm not sure which I prefer in the PRS as I really liked them both. The only reason I kept the Holydiver and sold the Miracle Man was because the Holydiver is a bit more versatile. I now have three guitars and only two sets of Bare Knuckles so I really wish I'd kept the Miracle Man now  :(
