are those emg 57s? i liked what i heard of those
57/66. Worlds away from EMGs of old, they're not scooped, compressed or dry sounding (we back-to-backed them with some of Cleggy's EMG equipped guitars). Instead they sound like passives, but with all the clarity, taughtness and attack of actives. I didn't expect to swap out BKPs with EMGs of all things!
For balance, I've still got two guitars with BKPs in and they're going nowhere.
Anyway, you already have them, so you need to list your next purchase. You should already be thinking ahead.
My next pup swap is already in the post ;) It's more of an experiment than a planned swap as I got it for very sensible money. But it's an Oil City Mighty 90 neck pup with A2 & A4 magnets. It's going to get tried in the neck of my Baja which has a Mule in at the moment. I've been missing a P90s since I sold the Strat-o-sonic and was going to drop an MQ in there (still might), but this came along at a price I couldn't refuse.
