SG/Tele Pick up swap
« on: March 16, 2013, 12:21:10 AM »
I have two guitars with Bareknuckles - a Gibson SG with a set of Stormy Monday's and a Tele with a Mississippi Queen at the neck and a Flat 50 at the bridge. I've been toying with the idea of swapping the neck pickups around and putting the MQ in the SG and the SM in the Tele, my concern is that the MQ will completely over power the SM Bridge on the SG. Anyone tried that combination before in a tele? Thoughts?

The MQ could easily overpower the SM in the bridge. Don't you like the MQ in the tele?

Single Tele in bridge and humbucker in neck position.  Lower the humbucker a little as not to compromise it too much and make sure that the single tele pu is all the way up.  022 micro cap ......
