MM stuff is supposed to be great but at £200+ (by the time you ship it to the UK) I'd damn well expect it too.

Managed to dodge import duty and got mine for about £130...... Looks pretty, just need some time to build it! :P

HJM. did you buy it direct from MM? £130 inc shipping from the US sounds very cheap from what I've been quoted by MM in the past.

Bought it with some other bits from metroamp.com the MM transformer came afterwards and George paid for the shipping!

Apologies for keeping this slightly nerdy thread going, but I have a nerdy question that's got to be answered otherwise it'll keep me awake tonight PDT_005

Right - bigger transformers are said to give more clarity than smaller ones. How the hell does this work, when you consider that the larger the transformer, the longer the length of wire is in the transformer, and the further the signal must travel through the amp??

That's it, thanks for any info......gotta go 'cos my brain hurts!
