The only way it is hum-cancelling is if you ordered the RWRP option on the neck pickup in a set and you play with both pickups on.  As soon as you turn one of the pickups off you have hum.

I have a Stockholm in an SG Junior.  I have hum, I've tried to minimize it using shielding paint, a Boss NS-2 (in the front end), and an ISP Decimator G-String II (in the loop), but there's still some there depending on lighting in the room etc.

What can I say, I guess I just let my nuts hang when it comes to hum, but then again hum is really only an issue when I am not playing and I use my hands to mute and turn body position a bit when it hums to put my body between my guitar and my amp.  Then again I play hardcore punk so a bit of noise is not a big issue, and YMMV.

The Stockholm/SG Junior combo is great for what I play.

Genuine P90's hum a bit more than a humbucker. That's their character. I had some P90's guitar in the past and if your guitar is shielded properly and you use good cables, it's all bearable. Still on the hunt for a good (but not too expensive) p90-loaded guitar.

Yeah, I know. I kept an eye on used ones, but the few I spotted were all black. I would prefer natural with cream covers.

It seems to me that the more windings on a pickup the more potential there is for hum.

My Stockholm did hum a lot more than the standard P-90s in our other guitarist's Epiphone 50th anniversary SG, but they have half the output of my Stockholm.  With the shielding etc I'd say that they are on a par, or mine might be a bit quieter than his most of the time.  Certainly the NS-2 does help.

I play that guitar more than my other two so that must say something.

EDIT: When I played my SG Junior through my Peavey 6534+ without the effects board (with its two noise suppressors, EQ, etc) in a friend's bandroom I found that it was a very noisy guitar compared to his Schecter Omen Extreme.  It was also a lot louder than his guitar.  I'm not sure if that's because the pickup is more powerful (his has the stock EMGs) or if it is because my Junior is extremely resonant and loud acoustically/unplugged before you even bring the pickup into the equation.  Certainly it has a much more punk sound, and a very rich sound compared to his guitar.  It was kind of like comparing a tame old mare with a wild young stallion.  He found his guitar easier to handle in terms of muting etc but mine much more impressive sonically
