UK forumites! Waghorn Guitars/MacPherson Guitars opinions?

(Well why not people outside the UK too but I reckon you UK people are the ones most likely to have experience with either.)

So I'm looking to order a custom made Explorer style guitar. Made the decision to ditch some of the a bit cheaper East European builders as their prices weren't THAT much cheaper and I ran into some language barrier problems right from the start. I am pretty sure that my choice would be between two UK based luthiers: Tom Waghorn and Dan MacPherson. Both have priced the project at a similar amount, MacPherson being just a bit more expensive but he had also included a custom made flight case in the price and said that the price could be cheaper in the end but definitely not higher than the initial quote.

So question is, how the heck do I make a decision between the two?!  Any of you have any experience with either luthier? Post your opinions, thanks!

My only comment is that Tom seems a really nice guy - he gave me a lot of help and advice years ago when I was struggling to bend sides on an acoustic I was learning how to make on my own - he didnt charge me - his guitars look nice too....

I'm waiting for a Waghorn custom I ordered and they've been brilliant; great communication, and from talking to existing users, the guitars are strictly flawless.

I've only heard good things about Tom's work, and he's always been very pleasant when I've spoken to him on the phone.

Is this the guy who is an apprentice at daemoness guitars? If so I've played one, it felt very nice, very easy to play

Thanks for the comments! Yeah, they both seem like nice guys and have been more than willing to answer all my questions even before committing to anything. Dan was even gracious enough to say good words about Waghorn's work saying I couldn't go wrong in choosing them either.

I have looked into Feline too of course as I haven't heard anything but good about them either. I did actually receive a quote from Jonathan later, my messages had been stuck in his spam folder at first. Well the quote from them was also in the exact same price range so that's just another good option there. 

So no experiences about MacPherson Guitars then? I really like the look of his work too and he really seems  know his stuff. And he quoted the shortest build time which is nice because waiting for 12 months would be a pain in the ass...
