Just thought screw it! So I bought them :)

What can I expect from them in a Full Thickness Eclipse? It's basically a Les Paul Custom :)

You can expect your guitar to sound like the musicial equivalent of Thor's Hammer ;-)

They're awesome pick ups but very sensitive to the guitar you put them in. Believe it or not, they have some serious low end. In the right guitar, nothing can compare.

Hope it works for you

both vintage and modern les pauls mostly have mahogany necks
but all regular les paul models had maple necks only from 1976 to 1983
that's why we don't see neck repaired les pauls from that period

So is this guitar's bottom end going to way too much?

I don't believe so. The low end on the black hawk-from my experience, is big but tight. Never too "boomy" or muddy. Definition and clarity is among the best of BKP's. I love the black hawks.
