I started a post on an 8 string pup ... as much as 8 string I understand there aren't many players here I guess... and am looking at reviews on comments on warpig user on their 7 string guitar...
I wonder if there are too much bass on tap when equipped with a set of 7 string warpig ? and with the large bass on tap are players able to get tight aggressive edgy bass response with doing chugging ?
Does it smooth out the leads too much or gets less edgy and aggressive on leads? what other character can be found on a warpig set ? is it compressed on a certain degree ? will be able to get sweet fat tones on leads?
my 8 string is based on high mids and slightly scooped I guess... as its a maple neck thru with swamp ash wings and a walnut top
I been trying to getta good pickup for my 8 string and so far with all that I can read up on this wonderful forum I guess I have zoom down to either getting a Juggernaut set or warpig set...for both tight aggressive metal riffs and good full bodied clean tones...
am hope to hear from any of the opinions here
