Anybody using warpigs in a Gibson SG?
« on: June 09, 2015, 12:08:59 PM »
Hey guys, I would like to know if anybody out there has tried or heard warpigs in a gibson SG. I am thinking about going with the alnico 5 option for the bridge. I play mostly in C standard, C#, and drop B tuning. I also like to play clean parts in my songs so a good clean sound is important. I am using a EVH 5150iii combo amp. I play things along the lines of Down, Eyehategod, and like to incorporate clean parts along with heavy parts kind of like Bring Me The Horizon.

Yes, I do, with the A-Pig in the bridge

We just had a thread on this a couple of days ago so probably best to look at that:

I've used mine in D standard and C# standard tuning and it is great for both. My amp is a Peavey 6534+, which is not miles away from what you are using.

It can do clean okay.  You can roll the volume off a bit and that helps there
