pickup finish

Now that I've pretty much decided to go for a Crawler/IT/IT HSS set for my tobacco sunburst Hamer Centaura, I'm wondering if I'd opt for something different. I've always wanted a guitar with zebra pups, but I don't know if this would fit in an HSS and with the colours of the guitar. I'm not convinced of what I've seen in HSS guitars on google.
If zebra, crawler bridge coil black or cream, and then alternating, or 2 single coils of the same colour (like bridge)?

Funny thing is, even though i prefer the black combo, the 'all cream' will work with the maple fretboard.

yeah, well, all cream is not an option ;)

It'll probably remain all black, but still doubting with zebra/black/black

Yeah, I'd tend to go for all cream or all black.  Two different coloured singles sounds awful to me.

I voted for cream singles and a zebra bridge

Go for the purple and be daring!

Seriously though, are you really going to base your decision on what we say?

Ultimately, no

But people might have seen examples where and what works (or absolutely doesn't). I did hope for more responses, though. But I'll stick with all black.

Cheers

One time I suggested red Warpigs with gold bolts and that was taken up and worked out great, but it really suited the guitar, given that it was white with a red cross, gold hardware, and maple fretboard.  Usually though the owner can see what they want pretty easily
