The things I've read about the CS neck have given me reason to believe itight be a bit on the smooth and fluid slide for what I want from a neck humbucker in full series and on a dirty amp setting.

Seems to be the deal with sound is that it's so relative. And it's hard to want to part with close to $200 USD when a pre-owned one might only command half that if you try to unload it on eBay.

If the NB neck in your other guitar has the same leg configuration I would take that and try it in the new guitar.  Might be great

As far as bridge pickups go I'm not sure.  With those woods it could be that a C-Bomb would be okay.

Other guitar is poplar. Brighter than sapele, which is like mahogany. I can tell from the brighter poplar that putting a NB in a fuller sounding wood won't work for me.

the Aftermath seems to be moving to the top of the list.
