Juggernaut set humming
« on: September 06, 2016, 10:40:21 PM »
Hello everyone!
I have problem with my Juggernaut set. Compared to other pickups, it has much higher noise floor, I mean - it hums (60Hz buzz) much more. I tried it in several different guitars with no changes.
I have C-Pig which is dead silent in all those guitars.

Anyone has the experience of comparing noise floor of different BKPs ? If yes, please let me know your opinion on comparing Juggernaut to other BKPs, maybe it is it's nature of Juggernaut to hum more and it should be considered as alright.

Thanks!

I had the juggs in my guitar. They were good but were noisier and way too compressed. I put a holy diver in. More open. Tight and silent like the C-pigs. Check your ground and or soldering points though before you decide to swap them out.

I'm sure that soldering and grounding is OK in my guitars. Just wandered if Juggs in general have more noise than other BKPs like C-Pig, or not.

I don't think so, I have both juggs and Cbombs and both are dead silent when not playing.
