Palmer PDI-09 'The Junction'
« on: January 31, 2017, 09:57:51 AM »
After good success with my Palmer PDI-03 Bonamassa speaker simulator I decided to get their PDI-09 'The Junction'

My plan was to fit it inside an open back cabinet to simplify connections at gigs. It will give my cab a direct XLR output.

I'm even more delighted than with the Bonamassa actually. Although the Bonamassa has more options to adjust the sound, the Junction is half the size, looks cuter and is cheaper.

It sounds very close to the Celestion Creamback inside the cab and was a doddle to fit and wire up. Its built to last.

So I will use the Bonamassa unit at home in my "studio" and the Junction will be used for live duties. The Junction sounds just as good as the Bonamassa, with the caveat that it has less adjustments of course.

I had no idea that Palmer was making small-format speaker simulators. Very cool!
