Pickups for epiphone dot grunge/post rock

Hi everybody, I'm going to modify my epiphone dot ( Gibson 335 copy) because I need more clarity in the sound and a more defined sound (not muddy) when I use distorsion. Besides a booster and a classic warm distorsion I often use the big muff.  I usually play in drop D and I have a mixed string set (10-48 or 10-50). I was considering buying the stormy Mondays,  but I 'm looking forward for your advice.
In order to understand the kind of sound I'm aiming at you can listen to a couple of songs by Verdena on YouTube : 'non prendere l'acme Eugenio' and 'il gulliver'. Thanks 😊

No expert on this end of things, but wouldn't Mules or Black Dogs be right in line? Or for something heavier, the Crawler?

Mules sound pretty clear with lots of gain - just like riff raff. Nailbomb maybe?

mules are clear, but riff raffs are clearer

RiffRaffs are brigther, Mules are clear, yet the topend has a moderate edge. But when I hear Il Gulliver I think a Mule-set would not be bad at all.

Grunge guitarists used traditional guitars like Fender etc. The sound was not modern by any means, so the Mule would be ok to try out.
