Hi all, thought you might be interested in this:

Check the stuff under the 'Controversy' heading.....basically he invented a way to copy the sound exactly of any audio amp using a completely different, and much cheaper, basic circuit. Pretty amazing I reckon - and it makes me wonder why on earth Line 6 and the like aren't using this mysterious technique to model amps????

I still use Carver TFM amps in my stereo - they have the best sound for non valve amps.  At one point I was bi-amping with my TFM15D (300w bridged) for bass and Quicksilver 90W KT90 monoblocks for treble,  but it was really too much!  I just use the Quicksilvers now.

I also use Carver Tube CD players from the early 90's - they have an excellent sound too.
