I'm gonna agree with Phil on this one, VHII, with a dotted line recommendation for the Black Dog. I reserve outrightly recommending the Black Dogs just because I'm not sure how it will sound in a walnut guitar.

I'm gonna say Crawlers.  I know the BKP product page calls them "Contemporary" rather than "Vintage Hot", but while being pretty hot, they actually have a lot of vintage feel in 'em  .... The neck pup is identical to the Abraxas anyway, though the bridge has a touch more grunt than the Abraxas bridge.  Still, they've a hell of a lot more vintage feel than the Miracle Men or their ilk!  And I can vouch for their coil-tap-ability, having a coil-tap switch in my Crawler-loaded LP. :)

Hi,

I just talked to someone at BKP...Forgot his name

I've ordered a calibrated set of Cold Sweats..
Nickelcover....

Why? Because of the sound in combination with the Walnut and the
output that pushes the amp.

It has a little more output but it's not a metal PU.

Hmm....can't wait!

That's awesome man! Not too many people with a calibrated CS set on the board, I think. Very interesting choice! Let us know how they work out and I hope you find your dream tone!

Nice looking guitar. I'm gonna throw somehting different out and see what you think.  Have you considered a Mississippi Queen pickup for the neck?  It's a humbucker-sized P-90 pickup and will give you more authentic single coil sounds than a tapped humbucker. On the other hand, it won't give you as authentic humbucking sounds.  ;)

Hahahaha.....

Thanks for the compliments on my guitar.

No...I'm a HB-guy only....

Have had my share of strats and tele's.
But I really want muscle in my sound.

Today I ordered the CS's.... yesterday I ordered some stuff form Stewmac.
Need some stuff from RS Guitarworks and a new Tonepros bridge/tail.

It's gonna be a real rockmonster!

I didn't see the second page of replies!  Doh!  I wouldn't have recommended pickups after you'd already ordered some if I'd seen your last post before mine.

I'm sure you'll love your new pups when they come in.  Have fun.

Pots from Rsguitarworks, Tonepros II, excellent and do not forget the bone nut too. You can order it at Rsguitarworks, for a total monster git. Enjoy :)

Well....to be honest....

I'm not sure about a bone nut.

Is it really better than the Graphtec nuts?

I've always had the black G nuts.
But I must be honest....
Strings always get sticky after a while.

I ordered nutsause by the way.....

VH11s would be good as PhilKing said. There's more bottom end, and when split the extra turns on the screw coil give a stronger single coil tone. Parallel wiring works very well too, single coilish tone with hum cancelling.
