ID Bare Knuckle humbucker set?
« on: November 10, 2019, 11:49:27 AM »
Hi! I recently bought a '92 LP Standard that came with a BKP set, though the owner doesn't know what model it is. The pickups sound very good, and I'd like to know what model it is.

They're both uncovered, black bobbins, vintage wire. They have at the end little stickers saying "neck" and "bridge", so I'm guessing they were bought as a matched set. They read 7.88 at the neck and 8.88 at the bridge. That is installed at the guitar, measuring the tip of a cable plugged in it. The volume pots are the usual 300k from that Gibson era.

Can you guess which pickups might they be? Any other test I can do to uncover more info?

I don't think pictures would help a lot here, but here they are nevertheless. Thanks!!!

By the way, this is my second experience with BKP pickups. I have a Melody Maker that I modded with a chrome Stockholm 90 and it rips!

Most likely vhII's, but could be Mules or Riff Raffs, since DC might vary a bit
Riff Raff, Mules, Black Dog, VHII's, Cold Sweat
