Lamb Of God, anyone?

I've seen LOG twice now (awesome btw) but never had any of their CDs until today - I got the remixed debut lp.  Has anyone else here got this? - it's one of the best things I've heard in a long while.  Hope they tour  :D

I've got 3 LoG CD's, my favourite is Ashes of the Wake. Got The American Gospel and As The Palaces Burn.

If I wasn't already into Mastodon when I heard them (after Ashes came out), I would have been more impressed with them, but Mastodon simply do it better IMO.

Took me a while to get into them, but i quite like them now. Lamb Of God and Shadows Fall are possibly the best bands to come out of the 'New Wave Of American Heavy Metal' thing.

I've been buying some metal again after sticking with the same old bands for years - time for something new (heh).

I drove to Stoke today to pickup a new amp (ebay bargain) so I had a chance to crank it up and listen to that album a few times - if Mastadon are similar, but better, then I think I need to hear some of that stuff.  Suggestions for a comparable Mastadon lp?

The best Mastodon album IMO is "Leviathan", but "Remission" is pretty damn good as well.

Apparently they're doing a new album to be released in the near future to be called "Bloodmountain".

There's a load of clips & video's on there for you to check out. Plus they've recorded "Orion" for a new Metallica tribute album.

Hahahah yeah I thought that!

Although, I have to say, I think LOG are absolute cr@p, just like most new "metal" that I see/hear on music TV :D

from the website clips, I'd say Remission sound better.  I'd also say they're more from the Metallica school of thrash rather than Slayer.
