Nantucket (b) and Bootcamp Old Guard (n) - a good match?

Hey guys.

After 6 years of ownership I've decided to change the p90s in my JJ Guitars Jewel.

The current bridge pickup is around 9.5k and Im thinking of trying something more vintage. I've been offered a Nantucket bridge model and was wondering if a Bootcamp Old Guard might be a good match in the neck?

I think the Nantucket is about 7.9k and the neck Old Guard is listed as 6.2k so I'd think they'd match up OK, but thought I'd ask before I took the plunge.

Position: Neck DC Resistance: 7.9 kΩ Magnet: Alnico 2

You're mixing a AV bridge with a AII neck. Personally I would go with a Nantucket-neck, as these sets are the result of intensive R&D. A mix might work though. I would ask BKP about this.

Isn't the Blue Note neck an Alnico II magnet?  That seems to go nicely with the Nantucket.

I guess price plays a role here too. OG P90 is cheaper.

Turns out Ive got a Flat 50 coming in on a trade, so I'm going to get a 2nd Old Guard to go with that in my Tele

I'm curious how they do in your tele. There is not that much info on the Bootcamp line, so keep us informed. )

Turns out the Flat 50.might be hotter than I thought, so might be going for a True Grit p90 in neck of my Tele.

To me the Nantucket / Old Guard P-90 and Flat '50 / True Grit Tele combos make sense.  Good luck with the installs, I think they will sound fine

I think the OG P90 will not be that much less loud than the Flat 50. Even my Crawler goes well with a Irish Tour-neck. It's a tad louder, but no disbalance.

Hopefully getting my Nantucket bridge and Flat 50 bridge later this week, so will order suitable neck pickups asap

Got the Nantucket today and turns out its a neck pickup, so my plan to pair it with a bootcamp in other position won't work.......
