I'm considering custom order for Mayones Duvell & Regius. And here we are, the final countdown of pickup choices! :)
Regius will be 11 ply Maple T.E.W. - Maple - Wenge T.E.W. neck through body with T.E.W. Swamp Ash body wings, topped with T.E.W. maple.
I already made up my mind with this to go with Holy Diver bridge and VHII neck pickups.
I'm not that kind Djenty style guitarist. I just want to have powerful metal machine, seeking for the sound of Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, and all sort of 80's and 90's Hard Rock Metal scenes.
So, now, here's my Duvell. It will be Mahogany body, bolt on neck with 5 ply Wenge - Purpleheart, also topped with T.E.W. maple.
What should I do with this beast? At first, I thought about Miracle Man for both bridge and neck pickups. But, after reading all sort of articles here and also viewing the Youtube reviews, it's chaos. Some people say Miracle Man is born to serve mahogany body and maple neck bolt on neck type guitars, or any maple neck thru ones, then others say it is perfect for Swamp Ash...And all these Youtube samples are quite inconsistent to me.
So could you please help me out to select best pickups for Duvell? I just want it to be power metal beast with gut wrenching rhythm riffs. :)
