Has anyone put a set of Mississippi Queens in a Strat?
« on: May 04, 2006, 10:55:18 AM »
I'm switchin out the pups (Duncans) I have in my Strat now into a another guitar. I want to keep this one a little more vintage sounding, and since I have a really nice abalone pickguard for dual humbuckers I set out looking for some HB sized P90s.  I've heard complaints about the Rio Grande bar-stewards, and the Duncan Phat Cats, but hear nothing but praise for MQs, so it seems like the winner so far. I just wanted to know how some of you folks liked them in Strats, as they seem more popular in Les Pauls and SGs.

Also can you get a burnt chrome finish on the MQs? I think that would go perfect with my pickguard.

Thanks for your input.
