Author Topic: Are these Bareknuckle P-90's? (Read 3453 times)

Alright, this is an odd one. I just bought a 79' Les Paul Deluxe from a guy, and as some of you may know they're routed for either soapbars or mini-humbuckers. So I get it ($%&#ing awesome guitar BTW) and pop open the case. In the little stuff compartment, it's got a set of extra cream colored soapbars. I turn them over and look at them, and they're stickered "BKP90-F/CR". Now, I'm in the US, so you don't see these (Bareknuckles, that is, not P-90's) very often at all. Anyhow, I just figured I'd post this up with a flick and maybe you guys could tell me. I'm afraid to email the guy, he might have done it by accident! J/K, if it was an accident I'll give em' back or compensate him, but actually it looked like he'd just packed all accessories and other stuff for the guitar along with it. Anyhow, any help would be appreciated.

I thought that all BK's had the name engraved in the baseplate but I've only seen the humbuckers so maybe P90's are different. Hopefully you scored a set of BK P90's though :D

Yeah, that'd be awesome, but somehow now that the initial surprise has worn off I'm doubting it. The guy hasn't answered my email yet.

Alright, figured out what they are. F%&*ing Mighty Mites. Ugh. The initials on the sticker just threw me off. Oh well.

That's a shame Whiskey, a pair of BKP-90's would look good in your Deluxe. Sweet guitar BTW.

Haha, hey dude. I'm about to just order a set of these $%&#ers. That guitar is sick, definitely not one that I'm gonna skimp on. I'm just wondering how much their hi-output soapbars will set me back with the overseas and all that good shite.

Being a foreigner and all that, you don't have to pay VAT, so they'll be a bit cheaper, can't remember how to deduct VAT, but it's 17.5% over here.

Buy some, you know you NEED those suckers! ;)

Most of mine are fitted with BKP's (humbuckers), and they do sound damn fine...! If you check out the "Shaggy (Black) Dog Story" thread in the Players section, you'll hear them...

Just got back a report from BK-Tim that the Warpig P90's are available for purchase. Looks like that's what I'm going with. I'm fully expecting single coil growl annihilation. Looks like this was the impetus I needed to finally make an order. I'm just waiting for a price quote since they're not up on the products section yet. Man, I hope these are as sweet as I'm thinking they'll be!
