BG50 / Brown Sugar / CS Nocaster

CS Nocaster
I love the neck PU but the bridge always seemed a little too polite too me.
Tried the Brown Sugars - Loves the mids and the grittiness, but I missed the low end and they were tonally in a very different place to the neck PU
I looked at the BG50 and thought surely this will be just like the Nocaster PU I took out?

First impression - Period correct flat head screws!! It's little details like that that just make you feel good about the money you've spent.
It's similar to the Nocaster, but bigger in every way with a slightly spikier edge and cut. Exactly what I wanted. Huge low end for a Tele bridge, enough top end to cut like a Tele should, but not getting to Sympathy for the Devil spikiness. Perfect. Thanks again BK!!

I'm selling the Brown Sugar if anybody wants one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204487426715

Glad you're enjoying the Flat '50, Alex! Certainly one of our all-round favourites for a big Tele tone.
