I have never heard that they were, from here, or any other winder. But, I certainly am not familiar with all of the winders out there.

They are not - the fundamental coil design of any of our humbuckers is the same whether you have open coils or covers. The only time that we adjust the wind is for 53mm bridge humbuckers and we have dedicated wind adjustments for the 7 and 8 string versions of each model.
