I wanted a Jag for years but when I tried a Japanese model I ended up spending less on an Mex strat.
I was just so dissapointed with the sound it was actually depressing, however some time later I tried a tried both a 63 (yum yum only 4500) and a Jap with SDs installed and they sounded the business.
Due to my cr@pness on guitar which I can currently blame on my hands being too small I am unable to buy a Jag (for the scale length) as I will have to face up to my inabillity to play :)
