Chrome Pickguard...
« on: June 25, 2006, 09:23:08 AM »
I've recently discovered that (upon asking) Tim would be happy to make me an HSS set, all chrome covered (white pickup covers, chrome plated for the singles) for a good price...but now i'm looking for an HSS Strat pickguard made of chrome - I dunno if i can afford it, but it's a nice dream so far (UK sites if possible if you have any suggestions)

I don't know any European sites, but I do know of these.

www.allparts.com

www.guitarelectronics.com

www.warmoth.com

Wish I could help more.

Be very careful with metal/chromed pickguards
They are a source of horrible microphonic feedback
The metal resonates at high gain & volume
Uncontrolable howl!!!!!
Fenders recent trial with them has been horrific
A mirror perspex plate wont give the same problem though

We keep them in stock............
