im going to be putting a holy diver in the bridge of my SL-2H soon, but i was wondering if i should also put one in the neck (calibrated set) or if i should put a different pickup in the neck? with this guitar im looking for an Iron Maiden type of sound. also what pickup is better for an iced earth/hammerfall sound the nailbomb or the Miracle man?

If it was my choice i would go for the Holy Diver set, they sound like the kind of tone you are after.
Mule,Trilogy,Irish Tours,Holy Diver and Apaches.

I think John Schaffer is using a Miracle Man now. A Holy Diver, with a bit of EQ and a high gain amp, will give you a great power metal tone!!

yea im pretty positive on the holy diver set (power metal is what im looking for). im just not sure between the nailbomb (a set?) or miracle man (and w/e in the neck). for that im looking along the lines of iced earth, hammerfall, helloween etc. i heard john schaffer used the nailbomb?

Could be a Nailbomb, I forget, to be honest.

i use a nailbomb and love the power metal sound...

great pickup, can be really tight and chunky for those Iced Earth style riffs

i have a Sinner single coil in my neck position..

Maybe a Mule or a Coldsweat would give a more vintagey solo tone..

dont know for the neck really..
