I've been researching pickups recently, and I really like what I've read about BKP and the clips that I've heard. But I'm stiil not sure which one would fit my playing best. Basically, I'm looking for a huge, high-gain sound that still has lots of note definition. Killswitch Engage's tone is about the best example I can think of for the sound in my head. I'm guessing the Miracle Man would be best, but I would love to hear the opinions of someone who has actually heard the Miracle Man, Warpig, and Nailbomb in person.

Hi Welcome to the forum!

I'm sure your get some detailed reply's on your post. I have a MM and I've heard some Killswitch stuff and it would do a great job of it. One of the guys who works for BKP, Steve Mr-Pig 2U is a big Killswtich fan so he may be able to help you more than I can.

Considering the amount of pinch harmonics they use, i would say Miracle Man.

Thanks for the replies. Another quick question for those who have heard these three pickups: which one seems to have the best clean tone? Or would I be better off getting another pickup altogether (Cold Sweat perhaps?)for the neck position if I want great clean tone as well?

I have Miracle Man & Nailbomb bridge pickups, IMO the MM is ideal for this sort of metal. You get really good definition, screaming harmonics when you want them, tons of output for really brutal riffs.

As for neck pickups, a few people here seem to recommend the Cold Sweat neck as a good match for the MM bridge. If you only want it for clean sounds you could use something lower output - I have a VHII neck in my Les Paul & it has a beautiful clean tone but still enough output to keep up with the NB.
