« on: July 10, 2006, 04:32:05 PM »
Just watching the Paul Gilbert instructional dvd free with the latest issue of Young Guitar, scary stuff but so cool!
He's got a new album out soon, it's his first instrumental album, called Get Out Of My Yard. Should be awesome, its out here on the 27th July, not sure about the UK/US but I think I'll be getting it!.

haha, just watching the DVD, he's playing and using his feet to change the dials on his flanger at the same time! mental

umm, neither.  I'm not sure its possible to get Young Guitar outside of Japan, I certainly never saw it in London but maybe somewhere could order it.  Every month there are two guest teachers on the dvd, the lessons are mostly a selection of licks  but there's a good 50 minutes of stuff from Paul! The other guy is Philip Sayce who's popular in Japan but I've never heard of him.

Paul plays a cool Ibanez SG custom, white with 3 gold pups.
....oooh, tapped harmonic pentatonic scales! This is stunning! Sorry if I'm making you jealous

If I was more computer literate and oblivious to copyright I'd find a way to rip it and post it somewhere. Macs can rip and burn dvds right?
