Nailbomb, Charvel, Garageband- HUH?
« on: June 06, 2006, 05:10:40 PM »
Here's a little clip I worked on tonight. The tuning's a bit rough and the playing's sloppy, but hey thats me!
It's recorded direct into a Presonus Firebox and then into Garageband on my iMac, the amp sim is Garagebands own 'Modern Rock' with a bit of eq added, I couldn't be bothered hooking up the Line6. The drums are Discrete Drums and the bass was tapped out on the keyboard (I couldn't be bothered to hook up the midi...etc...etc)
Hope someone out there likes it anyway.

Andy.

Nice one dude!   THose Nailbombs are so articulate, aren't they!?  I wish the clip was longer.  Did'nt sound sloppy at all.  I am just two weeks into a Nailbomb bridge in a Strat copy.  They rule for 'bout everything.  What type of Charvel is it?  Cheers, lifted

Cheers for the support!
The Charvel is one from the late 80s, when they changed the logo from the guitar shape to the Jackson style script, its a Fusion, but I can never remember if it's the "custom" or "delux".  It's a typical superstrat of the time, schaller floyd rose, 24 frets, HSS (Irish Tours with the NB) but it has a Gibson style scale length so the feel is a little different.
I hope to post some more in the coming weeks!

Thanks! Glad you liked it.  I really need to get 'round to finishing my Irish Tours track soon, I'm trying to make it something close to a 'proper' recording.
