Advice for my new pickup
« on: July 31, 2006, 07:39:18 PM »
Hi,

I'm new to this forum, so hello everyone.

I've got an Epiphone Black Beauty, (the one with the 3 pickups) the current (stock) pickups are muddy as hell with no high end what so ever, so I'm on the hunt for a new bridge pup. My guitar teacher recommended Bare Knuckles... so here I am  :D

The problem is when I read the specs of the BK pups they all sound too dam good!

Tones I like include: Satriani, Gary Moore, Zakk Wyle, Slash, and George Lynche - so it’s mainly rock/blues with a dash of metal. I love thick sounds that can scream when needed but equally, smooth warm clean sounds are important.

I've only been playing for just over a year so I'm not sure you could get such sounds from one pup.

Any help\advice would be great.

Cheers

Tim

Welcome :D
My suggestion is the Rebel Yell set, very versatile, plenty of power, great articulation and above all else-attitude!

BKP - "Wound, made and played the traditional way --- by hand!" Amen.
