Nailbomb rhythm, Trilogy Suite neck lead clip.
« on: September 04, 2006, 01:50:31 PM »
Please excuse the playing. I get right stage fright :P. Something I really need to get over. I used the amp models from my Behringer X V-amp and a cab sim and delay from Guitar Rig 2. I recorded it using the loop machine in GR2.

I used  the X V-amp set to the Modern High Gain model with Guitar Rig's Marshall 4x12 cab sim for the rhythm with the Nailbomb at the bridge. I used the same sound but switched to the neck pickup on my Strat copy, which is a Trilogy Suite and recorded it a bit louder.

I'm just getting into this recording stuff. The cab sims in GR2 are really, really good and bring out the best in the average (IMO) amp simulations of the X V-amp. I can't use the amp models in GR2 because they're really noisy for some reason.

Cheers for the comments. The rhythm track is a wee bit quiet. I intentionally recorded the lead track louder but I guess I overdid it :P. I'll record some more stuff over the next couple of days.

Very good stuff. the trilogy can SING in the neck. Really $%&#gin good.
yeah, the rhythm stuff is a little bit "shshshshs" and quiet than the lead, but it still rules.

Woah, that trilogy sounds really... 'out there'

15.5k, am i right in thinking that these would work VERY well in a H/S/S set-up? especially with a nailbomb.

My biggest problem with my ibanez prestige SA 1260 right now is that when i change pick-ups, the singles are just too quiet.

That trilogy sounds really good. Would have preferred the rhythm to be a bit louder and more beefy though :)

I have a Sinner neck single with similar resistance, partners my nailbomb bridge very nicely,,, so yes i think it would work fine :D
