Marshall 2195 lead & bass???

Has anyone ever seen/used one of them before? I assume its a BASS head, but "lead" usually means lead GUITAR...

google throws up nothing on this head so what the hell is it ?

Im in need of a cheap-ish 100w+ bass head (under £150) so is this a good option?

No idea what that is.... some 70s or 80s solid state Marshall.... probably not too good but at least it's cheap.

Yup, it's an old tranny amp. Marshall made them from 1976 to 1980. No idea if they sound any good or not.

I don't know if they're collectable or not, but sound wise I suspect you'd be better with a more recent MG. I had an old solid state Marshall in the mid 80s, and it wasn't anywhere near as good as the current MGs. Solid state amps have come a long way since the 70s (though I still prefer valves  :D )

Thanks, wasnt sure about how it would sound with bass, but i have used an 80's Peavey TKO transistor combo for ages and it sounded really nice. I assumed the marshall would sound similar.

Its just so cheap, theres not anything else that I can find for a similar price.

This amp was in production from 1976 up to 1980. It was an all transistor Master Volume amp meant to be used with guitar or bass.

Tranny amps are ok with bass I always think-and I say that as a bass player.

Some of that pearl kit's OK, man.

They did a knock off silverface twin that was solid state that sounded great for bass playing...
