New practice amp

Am really getting a lot of use out of this little practice rig; perfect for hobo rehearsals in the park, too! Backstar Fly 3 combo. Definitely want the extension cab for more projection. Sound is fine for practice. I feed stems from iPad running Cubasis into the MP3 input and plug my guitar into the other input. Plenty loud and gets the job done late at night with minimal equipment.

The kind of compact, good sounding, affordable equipment available these days is staggering.  If only these things had existed when I started playing!

I've been considering one of these with the extension cab. The price is too good! Don't suppose you have compared it to a Yamaha THR? That's the other one I've been looking at but I don't need all the extra models and fx, just a good rock tone!

Not tried the Yamaha, sorry.

For straight up plug n play rock w a bit of delay along w backing tracks, it delivers. I am definitely getting the extension cab as well.

This is purely for practice in the park or late night jams with the backing tracks. Gotta get these songs under my fingers for upcoming gigs! Too much to type, let's meet up soon. :)

Anyway, the Fly is portable (can easily fit into my backpack), battery powered, and has an MP3 input, so I can simulate playing with the backing tracks with minimal setup -- guitar, Fly, iPad, 2 cables, and maybe headphones.
